Voltera V-One

What is Voltera V-One and what is it for?+
The Voltera V-One is a desktop PCB prototyping printer that combines trace printing, precision hole drilling, solder paste dispensing, and reflow soldering in a single compact device. It allows R&D teams and electronics engineers to create a fully functional circuit prototype in their own lab, without waiting for an external manufacturer—shortening design iteration cycles and protecting design confidentiality.
How long does it take to print a prototype on the V-One?+
Depending on the complexity of the project, the first circuit prototype—from Gerber file to finished, soldered board—can be obtained on V-One within one business day, dramatically reducing turnaround time compared to outsourcing the prototype to an external PCB manufacturer.
What ECAD files and software does V-One support?+
V-One works with Gerber files, making it compatible with virtually any ECAD software (e.g., KiCad, Eagle, Altium). The V-One software features an intuitive interface with tutorial videos and live chat support, and updates are installed automatically.
What is the maximum resolution and working area of ​​the V-One?+
The V-One prints single- and double-sided circuit traces in a build area of ​​approximately 128 x 116 mm. The built-in reflow module heats the board to 240°C (550W heater) and maintains the temperature for up to 60 minutes, while solder paste dispensing is stencil-free, with pitches up to 0,5 mm.
What does the V-One standard kit include and what is the warranty?+
The standard V-One kit includes the printer, two V-One dispensers, a V-One probe, a set of 25 230µm nozzles, FR1 substrates (3x4″ and 2x3″), substrate clamps and thumbscrews, a "Hello World" first print kit, conductive paint and solder paste cartridges, solder wire, tweezers, a set of cables, and instructions. A drilling module (with a set of drill bits, rivets, and other accessories) is available as an optional add-on for printing double-sided boards. The device is covered by a 24-month manufacturer's warranty, extendable to 60 months.
Does prototyping on V-One protect the intellectual property of the design?+
Yes, this is one of the key advantages of owning an in-house PCB printer. Prototypes are created entirely in-house, without handing over design files to an external PCB manufacturer, which reduces the risk of design data leakage at the most sensitive stage: concept iteration.

Voltera NOVA

What is the difference between Voltera NOVA and V-One?+
The V-One is a desktop printer for prototyping classic rigid PCBs. The Voltera NOVA is an advanced direct ink printing system designed to work with a wider range of functional materials—conductive inks, dielectrics, and biocompatible materials—on rigid, flexible, and non-standard substrates (e.g., textiles, foils). Therefore, the NOVA is a research and development platform for printing flexible and wearable electronics, not just classic PCBs.
What is the print area and resolution of Voltera NOVA?+
Voltera NOVA offers a 220 x 300 mm build area (approximately A4 format) with a 40 x 40 mm mounting grid (M5 thread) for rigid substrates and a porous titanium vacuum table for mounting flexible substrates. Printed line widths can be as small as 100 µm (depending on the material and nozzle), and the integrated vision system operates at a resolution of 17 µm/pixel at a 1920 x 1080 image, enabling precise pattern positioning (augmented reality overlay).
Does NOVA support add-on modules?+
Yes. The Plan function allows for multi-layer printing—up to four layers of material in a single job, with the ability to combine different materials on individual layers and edit the print path order. NOVA supports a wide range of material viscosities (from 1,000 to 1,000,000 cP), from thin inks to thick pastes and gels, and the software runs in your browser, with no installation required.
What is the warranty on Voltera NOVA?+
Like the V-One, the Voltera NOVA is covered by a 24-month manufacturer's warranty, extendable to 60 months. During the warranty period, Voltera will repair or replace the device, and if that's not possible, refund the cost. Post-warranty service in Poland is provided by CHEMIKONICS, an authorized distributor.
Who is Voltera NOVA intended for?+
NOVA is proving successful in R&D laboratories, universities, and product development departments working on printed flexible electronics: sensors, electrodes, RFID/NFC antennas, textile circuits, and battery prototypes. The platform is already being used by research centers and technology companies seeking a faster and more affordable alternative to traditional screen printing or stenciling in the research and development phase.

What are BLACKLEAF graphene paints and materials?+
BLACKLEAF is a French manufacturer of graphene-based paints and additives, produced on its own production line with a capacity of over 120 tons per year. Its offerings are divided into two groups: easy-to-apply conductive paints (heating, electrically and thermally conductive, EMI shielding, and lubricating) and graphene additives incorporated into other materials to improve their conductivity, mechanical properties, or barrier properties. CHEMIKONICS is the official distributor of BLACKLEAF in Poland.
On what surfaces can NEOBLACK paints be used?+
NEOBLACK inks are designed for application on typical substrates used in printed electronics and industry. Depending on the variant (e.g., SP1, SP2, SC1B–SC3B), they vary in viscosity and application method, allowing you to select the version suitable for screen printing, coating, or spraying. Detailed application parameters for each variant can be found in the technical data sheet (TDS), available upon request.
What are BLACKHEATER heating foils used for?+
BLACKHEATER heating foils (GPAD 10+, 11+, 20+, 30+, 40+) are flexible, ultra-thin heating elements with a functional graphene layer (BLACKHEAT® SC technology) printed on a PET substrate—replacing traditional etched, silicone, and PTC heaters. They operate at temperatures up to 200°C at a thickness of 50–300 µm, and are used in applications including aviation (anti-icing), automotive, rail, industrial, and construction. These are foils only—CHEMIKONICS does not offer BLACKHEATER heating pastes.
How is BLACKLEAF graphene different from other conductive materials?+
Graphene is a material with exceptional properties: approximately 200 times stronger than steel at single-atom thickness, and approximately 10 times better at conducting electricity and heat than copper and 5 times better than diamond. It is extremely lightweight (approximately 0,77 mg/m²), flexible (extensible to 120% of its original size), and impermeable to hydrogen atoms, opening up applications ranging from automotive and aerospace composites (BLACKLEAF customers include Airbus, Safran, and Thales) to gas storage and fuel cells.
What are the curing conditions and durability of NEOBLACK paints?+
The drying or curing conditions and target durability of NEOBLACK paints depend on the specific product variant and substrate. What families of VFP conductive paints does CHEMIKONICS offer?+
CHEMIKONICS offers a complete portfolio of functional inks from French manufacturer VFP Ink Technologies (in the market since 1989) for printed electronics: silver-based conductive inks from the SILVER ELECTRON family (including stretchable variants), carbon-based resistive inks from the CEL family, dielectric varnishes from the UVREL/ECV family, and piezoelectric inks from the PIEZO ELECTRON family. Over 95% of VFP formulations are CMR-free. In addition to printed electronics, VFP also offers inks and varnishes for payment cards, labels, and industrial applications—available in the full CHEMIKONICS catalog.
What are SILVER ELECTRON paints used for?+
SILVER ELECTRON inks are conductive silver-based inks designed for printing traces, electrodes, and antennas in printed electronics, including sensors, membrane touch panels, RFID/NFC antennas, and biosensor electrodes. Stretchable variants retain conductivity after repeated bending and stretching of the substrate, which is important in wearable electronics and smart textiles.
What is the difference between CEL carbon paints and silver-based conductive paints?+
CEL paints (e.g., CEL001, CEL003) are carbon-based resistive paints. They conduct electricity less efficiently than silver-based paints, but are significantly less expensive and are used where controlled resistance is required rather than maximum conductivity, such as auxiliary electrodes in biosensors, heating traces, or protective layers on silver traces. Silver-based conductive paints (SILVER ELECTRON) are used where the lowest possible trace resistance is essential.
What are UVREL/ECV dielectric varnishes used for?+
Dielectric varnishes (UVREL family, including UVREL DIGIT, UVRELCOL V2, UVRELR V3) are applied as an insulating layer between conductive paths in multilayer systems or as a protective layer to protect the circuit from moisture and mechanical damage. All are UV-cured, enabling a fast production process.
Are VFP conductive paints compliant with non-CMR regulations?+
Yes, over 95% of VFP Ink Technologies formulations are non-CMR (carcinogenic, mutagenic, or toxic to reproduction), and some newer functional inks (e.g., the PIEZO ELECTRON family) are also PFAS-free.
